The FFplus project launched a new open call for European small and medium-sized enterprises. They are looking for agile innovative companies that decide to use supercomputers in practice and thus gain a competitive advantage on the market.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The FFplus project is already the fourth continuation of a very successful initiative that directly deals with how to help businesses overcome obstacles in the use of supercomputers and high-performance data analysis in practice or in the work and development of generative AI. The goal is primarily to strengthen the global competitiveness of European industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the past years, dozens of companies from all over Europe that used supercomputers have successfully passed open challenges. Let their stories inspire you, you can find them on the FFplus website.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FFplus project call is divided into 2 parts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. BUSINESS EXPERIMENTS<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The first part <\/a>je ur\u010den\u00e1 pre podniky bez predch\u00e1dzaj\u00facich sk\u00fasenost\u00ed so superpo\u010d\u00edtan\u00edm naprie\u010d v\u0161etk\u00fdmi odbormi. V r\u00e1mci tejto v\u00fdzvy maj\u00fa podniky pr\u00edle\u017eitos\u0165 prihl\u00e1si\u0165 svoje „experimenty“, teda projekty rie\u0161iace konkr\u00e9tnu business v\u00fdzvu s pomocou superpo\u010d\u00edta\u010dov\u00fdch technol\u00f3gi\u00ed, vysoko v\u00fdkonnej d\u00e1tovej anal\u00fdzy alebo umelej inteligencie. Predpokladan\u00fd \u010das trvania experimentu max. 15 mesiacov s pl\u00e1novan\u00fdm za\u010dat\u00edm 1. janu\u00e1ra 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A sum of EUR 4 million will be distributed among all the selected projects for the financing of experiments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The deadline for submitting applications is September 4, 2024 at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. INNOVATION STUDIES<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      The second part <\/a>of the FFplus challenge will support companies and startups that are already active in the field of generative AI and that lack the necessary computing resources to develop their own models. The goal is to facilitate and strengthen the technological development of European companies in the field of AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Participating enterprises will be supported to increase their innovation potential by leveraging new generative UI models, such as large language models (LLM), based on their existing expertise, application area, business model and potential for expansion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Submitted \"innovation studies\" must use extensive European supercomputing resources (pre-exascale and exascale) to develop and adapt generative AI models (pr. LLM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      A sum of EUR 4 million intended for the financing of experiments will be distributed among all selected sub-projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      The deadline for submitting applications is September 4, 2024 at 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
