Wage (gross)
Wage (gross) 900 – 1200 EUR/month, depending on skills and experience. The wage corresponds with 50% part-time work contract.
Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for a new colleague to work with us in the National competence centre for high performance computing. You would be involved in planning, design and implementation of a training programme aimed to increase knowledge and competence level of Slovak enterprises and public institutions in the HPC-related fields, such as AI/ML, HPDA and advanced simulation. You would also be the NCCs Taskleader for Training and Skills development and would represent ther NCC in EuroCC working groups and taskforces related to this area.
Responsibilities associated with the position include:
- Organizing and managing educational activities (existing courses according to the current curricula) in online and F2F format.
- Record keeping and reporting.
- Planning, design and implementation of new IT courses, communication with external teachers.
- Organizing occasional education or popularization events.
- Practical management of international collaborations in Training and Skills development.
- Coordination and collaboration with other Taskleaders, especially Communication, as well as EuroCC working groups and other competence centres.

Candidates’ education suitable for the position:
University education (Master's degree)
University degree in
Degree in Information Technologies, Mathematics, Life sciences (Physics, Theoretical chemistry) or related engineering disciplines is an advantage, as it will provide you with good background and basic orientation in the HPC field.
Necessary knowledge
- Experience with project or education management, preferably in IT sector and/or academia
- MS office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint - advanced
- English language – advanced

Brief description of the company
Our goal is to support and cover all HPC activities in Slovakia. Since 2020, we have been advocating for the development of HPC infrastructure, supporting projects and investments, and in close cooperation with the National Competence Center for HPC, we are working on strengthening competencies and skills in this area. We want to develop cooperation with Slovak universities, the Slovak Academy of Sciences and other organizations operating in the field of HPC, HPC+ applications and related fields.

About EuroCC project
Within the EuroCC project we operate the National competence centre for HPC as a first point of contact for supercomputing services and opportunities on a national level. We support adoption of high performance computing and provide free services to SMEs, academia and public administration, including facilitation of access, collaboration on R&D projects, consulting and training.
National competence center is a part of the EuroCC project, which includes a network of 33 national HPC competence centers.
Project timeline:
- EuroCC – September 1st, 2020 to December 31st , 2022
- EuroCC 2 – January 1st , 2023 to December 31st , 2025
Activities may continue beyond the current project runtime either under next EuroCC project or as a national activity.
