Women in HPC
Lucia Malíčková, an expert in high-performance computing (HPC) and research-innovation ecosystems, has recently become a mentor in the international mentoring programme organized by Women in High Performance Computing (WHPC). Her involvement in this global initiative is a testament to the growing effort to promote diversity and equal opportunities in the technology sector. WHPC has been committed for several years to supporting women and other underrepresented groups in the field of high-performance computing. Their mentoring programme connects experienced professionals with those at the beginning of their careers, creating space for talent development, knowledge exchange, and career growth.
Lucia Malíčková encourages anyone interested in WHPC, mentoring, or getting involved in the community to reach out to her. As an active member of the community, she shares her experience, inspires other professionals, and helps foster an inclusive environment in research, technology, and computational science.
This engagement also aligns with the broader celebration of Women’s History Month, which aims to highlight the contributions of women across all sectors — including the technology space, where there is still work to be done to achieve equal representation.
